THE York mother whose life was saved thanks to a last-minute heart transplant is inviting people to a fundraising sing-along in Parliament Street, tomorrow.
Wendy Lingham, 32, from Clifton, was given only weeks to live, but was saved when a heart became available and she underwent an emergency transplant.
Miss Lingham, her friends and supporters will be in Parliament Street, near Marks & Spencer, from 10am to 4pm, where they will be raising money for the Cardiomyopathy Society and handing out information on how to sign up to the organ donor register, as well as encouraging people to join in the sing-along.
