Youngsters at a North Yorkshire primary school have been getting the inside track on recycling.
As part of a science week at Alne School, the 120 pupils have been learning about how science affects their daily lives.
As part of the event, Dan Copeland, of Easingwold-based recycling firm Mil-Tek, came in and gave the children a demonstration of cardboard recycling.
School science co-ordinator Emma Copeland said: "It's been fantastic. The kids have just been buzzing with science. They have been going home and seeing how science works in their houses.
"The week ended with Year 6 children running a hazard kitchen' to show younger children some of the dangers in the kitchen."
