Sue Couture, who carried the Olympic torch in Knaresborough, visited the Mount Junior School, where pupils staged their own Olympic opening ceremony as part of their Olympic Week celebrations.
PUPILS at a York school have been getting into the Olympic spirit with a week of London 2012-themed celebrations.
The events took place at The Mount Junior School and included a visit from Sue Couture, who was one of the bearers of the Olympic torch as the relay passed through Knaresborough during its journey across North Yorkshire earlier this month.
The youngsters staged their own Olympic opening ceremony to mark the run-up to the London Games, which start on July 27.
