BLUE Peter gardener Chris Collins has visited a school in York to help start a Viking garden.
The television star visited Dringhouses Primary School after it won the ISS Facility Services Education’s Green Fingers competition as part of a week-long event to show children how to grow their own fresh produce.
Chris spoke to the children in their assembly and led workshops on seed planting and plant maintenance.
He also sat down with the children to a Viking lunch to reflect the school’s new Viking garden.
