AN 87-year-old man has died four-and-a-half months after falling from his mobility scooter in Ripon.
Roderick Sawford, who is also known locally as Ray, fell from his scooter as he was turning into Lead Lane from Highfield Road in the town at about 12.25pm on February 9.
Mr Sawford was taken to hospital with face and head injuries and was released after treatment.
However, he was readmitted to Harrogate District Hospital on March 19, and he died there on June 23 as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.
Police want to trace two men in a black vehicle who stopped at the scene and came to Mr Sawford’s assistance.
Anyone with information is asked to phone 101.
