MORE than 50 children and adults with learning difficulties had a day of fun activities when three York schools got together.
Pupils from Hob Moor School and Applefields School travelled to St Peter’s School for an event run by Mencap, a leading charity working with people with learning disabilities.
Activities included drama workshops, cycling, golf, tennis and “kurling” an indoor version of curling. Staff from City of York Council also attended.
It is believed to be the first time such an event has been held in northern England.
