A new theatrical performance has been performed in York, which was written by a 13-year-old boy.
Andrew Hodgson, a Year 9 pupil at Bootham School, wrote the play A Man Called War, which was performed in front of students and parents last week.
Jane Peake, a spokeswoman for the school said: “Andrew wrote it himself and it was well received. People were clearly moved by what they saw, and obviously the school’s stance on peace, as a Quaker school, is quite profound.”
The play was written as part of the school’s Arts Unleashed programme.
