USUALLY, those who shout loudest get most attention.
Not last night. Instead, it was the turn of the city's unsung heroes - people who have quietly been doing their bit to make this a better city - to have their moment in the limelight.
The York Community Pride Awards was a glitzy event, attended by many of the city's luminaries. But the night belonged to the Community Pride winners and finalists - the health workers, teachers, volunteers, fundraisers and courageous young people who do so much to make our lives better.
We're proud of you all.
