Having read recently in The Press (Wednesday, June 27) about the proposed student accommodation above Matmer House in Hull Road, reminded us that before this 1960s building was built stood an old house by the same name.
We would love to find a photo of this building for our archive. It is believed the garden of the house stretched as far back as Hull Road Park and covered the area of the small car park at the rear of the shops.
