A NEW online mapping system which will make it easier for residents in two North Yorkshire districts to find services has been launched.
The scheme, which covers Hambleton and Richmondshire, will provide people with quicker access to council information and pinpoint everything from GP surgeries to leisure centres, recycling points and industrial parks.
The “localview” system is being used on Richmondshire District Council’s website for the first time and is an upgrade to an existing tool on Hambleton District Council’s site.
Martyn Richards, director for both authorities, said: “It gives our residents access to a huge amount of council information at the touch of a button.
“Selecting an address will bring up a map showing the nearest council facilities and local amenities as well as direct links to the councillors responsible for that area.”
More information is available by logging on to hambleton.gov.uk and richmondshire.gov.uk and clicking the “localview” link.
