A young boy whose determined and courageous battle to live with major heart and lung problems brought him the admiration of many has died.
Clifton toddler Alfie David Oliver was three when he passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 30 at Martin House Hospice at Boston Spa.
His mother, Tracey, who won The Press Supermum title this year after being nominated by her husband, Rob, for her loving care of Alfie, gave up her job to look after him full-time.
The notice announcing his death said: “Alfie touched many hearts and will be sadly missed.”
