YOUNGSTERS from all over the region got some good advice on a career in science and engineering at the Big Bang Yorkshire &Humber.
The event, the largest celebration of young talent in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects in the region, took place at the Yorkshire Air Museum, near York.
The event, supported by more businesses than ever before, also included a flypast by a Spitfire from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
The Big Bang Yorkshire & Humber is organised by business and education partnership NYBEP with support from Science City York and the air museum. It is run in conjunction with Inspirations, the sub-regional annual STEM challenge and showcase that has been held at the museum for more than 12 years. More than 160 STEM projects completed by young people across 12 categories were showcased and judged at the event, one of the largest entries of projects that Big Bang has seen.
A selection of the best will represent the region at the National Science and Engineering Competition in March next year.
