IT’S HATS off to these students from York College who celebrated in style with a grand procession through the city to their graduation ceremony at York Minster.
Family, friends and supporters crowded into the Minster to witness the occasion and mark the achievements of students who have completed their higher educatio studies at York College in subjects ranging from sports therapy to hair design for TV, Film and Theatre. The congregation was welcomed by the Reverend Canon Peter Moger, with college principal Dr Alison Birkinshaw giving the opening address.
Among the success stories were identical twins Laura and Jenna Sedman, 20, who were celebrating with Foundation degrees in fashion design. They plan to return to York College in September to study the BA (top-up) course in the subject.
