RAWCLIFFE Under-12s maintained their 100 per cent York Mitchell Sports League winning record by destroying Woodthorpe 5-0.
It was Rawcliffe's fifth successive victory and came against a Woodthorpe which came second in the league last season, when they beat Rawcliffe by one point.
Rawcliffe piled on the pressure from the start and went ahead when midfielder Elliott Frodsham's shot from just outside the centre circle floated in to the top left corner.
A brilliantly struck free-kick from just outside the box saw Jack Littlechild score, followed by one from Joe Parnell making it 3-0 before Lewis Rhodes and Frodsham's second completed the scoring.
Woodthorpe struggled to break Rawcliffe's defence of Jordan Potter, Sam Martin and Tom Forde, with Potter named man-of-the-match.
