QUEEN Margaret's School, Escrick, is revelling in sporting success.
Year 10 pupils Olivia Brown and Olivia Williams were crowned Yorkshire Under-15 tennis champions at South Leeds Stadium.
They qualified as North Yorkshire champs - a title they won in June - and beat teams from South, East and West Yorkshire to take the Yorkshire crown.
Ten girls from Queen Margaret's have also been selected to represent North Yorkshire's county lacrosse team - six for the A' team and four for the B' team.
Top junior sporting all-rounders are in action at Queen Margaret's School, Escrick, and Bishop Burton College this weekend.
The Yorkshire Region Modern Pentathlon Association's annual event will see the school host the shooting, swimming and fencing disciplines today, while the college will stage the riding and cross country running phases.
The competition is open to athletes from 11 years of age upwards and many of them will be back in Yorkshire on November 5 for the North-Eastern Schools Biathlon at Beverley Leisure Centre, a qualifier for the British School's Biathlon Championships to be held at Bath University next year.
The Yorkshire region recently received a £5,000 lottery grant through the "Awards for All" programme to help stage the events in the county.
