THE York Mystery Plays got off to a good start in front of an audience of about 1,000 people – protected from occasional showers by coverings over the stands.
Organisers said the first night of the spectacular theatrical production in the Museum Gardens on Thursday evening went without a hitch. The show will continue in front of the ruins of St Mary’s Abbey throughout August.
