A bank has warned customers not to fall victim to a fake text scam in circulation.
Natwest raised the alarm in a message on their Facebook page.
It reads: "Lots of our customers have reported receiving these texts. They say you’ve updated your mobile number on your NatWest account and tell you to click a link if this is incorrect.
"The link takes you to a site where scammers will steal your banking information.
"Due to sophisticated criminal technology, some scam texts are also appearing in the threads of our genuine texts, so #TakeFive to help us get the word out."
How to report the scam to Natwest
Customers with the banking group should forward any suspicious texts referring to NatWest to the number 88355.
