Dr Michael Mosley is regarded as one of the most important dieticians in Britain today.
Affectionately called a 'health guru', the documentarian and journalist has been shaping the way Brits think about their health for the better.
But who is Dr Michael Mosley?
Following his undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (commonly known as PPE) at the New College, Oxford, Michael Mosley became a banker in London.
Having spent two years in banking, he decided to move into medicine and went on to study medical psychology at the Royal Free Hospital Medical School (now part of University College London Medical School).

Michael went on to qualify as a doctor but for the last 25 years, he’s been working as a documentary maker and an award-winning science journalist.
The reason? Mosley apparently became disillusioned with psychiatry and joined the BBC on a trainee assistant producer scheme.
He worked his way up the ranks at the BBC before heading major productions, and, in 1995, was named Medical Journalist of the Year by the British Medical Association for a ground-breaking programme on Helicobacter pylori.
His programmes have also won an RTS and an EMMY.
The Fast 800 diet plan
Michael Mosley's Fast 800 diet plan is a popular choice for many aspiring to lose weight fast and effectively and now the New Year has arrived, many fear a "slip up" might be on the horizon.
Break the odd dietary commitment once in a while, however, if you want to remain loyal to your nutritional regime, then the TV health guru has had his say on how to do so without spoiling the fun, too much.
Who is Dr Michael Mosley?
The Fast 800 is designed to be followed for life
Dr Mosley's website states: "So many face the feeling of worry and dread when celebrations and long weekends are on the horizon. It can often be the moment people break away from their diet, or face the infamous “slip up”.
The Fast 800 is designed to be followed for life and with life comes events, occasions and celebrations.
"Eating Mediterranean-style meals, packed with protein, healthy fats and fibre, will ensure you stay full and nourished throughout the day."
Mediterranean meals are Mosley's speciality and something he enthusiastically promotes.
