A DIRECTOR of a former Malton company has appeared before Scarborough magistrates accused of fraud.
James David Rintoul, 55, is alleged to have been involved in carrying on business with oil company Fuel Pulse Ltd between October 1, 2008, and July 31, 2011, with intent to defraud creditors or for a fraudulent purpose.
Rintoul, formerly of Wykeham and now of Newport Road, North Cave, East Yorkshire, did not enter a plea at the hearing and magistrates adjourned the case for committal proceedings. He was released on bail until January 11, when his case is expected to be committed to York Crown Court.
Fuel Pulse Ltd, of Yorkersgate, Malton, ceased trading in 2011.
