VISITORS are being urged to take a different view of Scarborough – that was the message spelt out as Coastival officially launched its next major arts event.
Oliver’s Mount was the location for the launch of the programme for Coastival – A Different View, which will take place in the resort on February 16.
A total of 44 events and attractions is being lined up including music icon Boy George playing a DJ set at the Spa, video mapping on the side of the Spa complex, and a whole range of entertainment, arts and activities for children and young people.
Creative director Wendy Holroyd said: “Our theme for the next Coastival is light and in particular a desire for people to take a different view of the arts and a different view of Scarborough.”
“What better place to launch our programme than on top of one of Scarborough’s highest landmarks, where people really do get a different view of Scarborough.
Anyone interested in getting involved with the event, is asked to contact Wendy via Create. For more information on Coastival – A Different View, visit coastival.com
