FALLING river and groundwater levels in Ryedale mean the flood alert has been stood down.
An improving situation around the River Derwent means that Silver Command, the multi-agency team set up to assist during flooding, has left the area.
The river currently stands at 2.1metres and is continuing to fall, and groundwater levels are also continuing to fall.
Glyn Payne, North Yorkshire Police’s Scarborough and Ryedale Safer Neighbourhood Commander, said: “The forecast indicates there is very little snow or rainfall to come over the next few days.”
