A SCARBOROUGH man who was wanted by police for breaching his prison licence has handed himself in to police.
Jack Gates is now in police custody after handing himself in on Monday evening, and will be returned to prison to complete his sentence for breaching his release licence.
Acting Chief Inspector Paul Healy, of the Scarborough Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Jack Gates has finally taken responsibility for his own actions and will now be returned to prison.
“It is entirely unacceptable to flout the law in this way and take liberties with the criminal justice system. Ultimately, it is the hard-working and law-abiding members of the community who have to put up with this behaviour and also foot the bill.”
