A MAN has died following a collision on the A19 in North Yorkshire.
The 35-year-old Thirsk man, who has not been named, suffered serious head injuries as a result of the collision near to the junction for Over Silton, near Northallerton at 1.20am on Tuesday.
He was taken to James Cook University Hospital and police have confirmed he died later that day.
Sgt Richard Parsons, of North Yorkshire Police's roads policing group, said: “I am asking for anyone who was on this stretch of the A19 around the time of the collision to come forward and contact the police if they have not already done so.”
