FAMILY antiques business Summersgills Auctioneers attracted about 120 buyers to its first auction in its new premises.
The business, which had an office in Acomb, has moved into the Auction Centre at Roxby House Estate in Easingwold, York.
Auctioneer Tim Summersgill said the move impressed regular customers, and attracted 300 to 400 people in to view the lots before the auction.
He said: “They were all saying how it was better for parking, easier access and has better lighting and better facilities.”
The 54-year-old business will now hold auctions every six weeks in the new premises, which also has a 6,000 sq ft showroom which will be stocked with antiques for sale later in the year.
