FILMING is still continuing on the latest BBC period blockbuster, with the production moving to the Ryedale Folk Museum.

Scenes for Death Comes To Pemberley, a sequel to Jane Austen’s Pride And Prejudice, have already been shot at Treasurer’s House in York and at other locations in North Yorkshire.

Cast and crew from the show filmed at the folk museum at Hutton-le-Hole, near Kirkbymoorside, yesterday and today, to make use of the attraction’s historic Stang End cottage, situated in its grounds.

Helen Dean, from the museum, said: “They are filming the scene when Wickham and Lydia come back to Pemberley to attend a ball. Parts of that were also filmed at Castle Howard and Chatsworth House, but this is the cottage where the farmer from the estate lives.”

Filming of the series, which is based on PD James’s novel telling the story of Elizabeth and Mr Darcy five years into their marriage, also took place at Castle Howard, Harewood House and St William’s College in York. Scenes were also shot at a specially constructed gallows in the Eye of York last month.

The three-part drama will air at Christmas, and stars Trevor Eve, Jenna-Louise Coleman, Anna Maxwell Martin, and Matthew Goode.
