POLICE are investigating after thieves stole a customised BMX worth £700 in Scarborough.
The bike’s owner, an 18-year-old man, left the black BMX locked to a lamppost in Victoria Road while he was at work, but when he returned the lock had been broken and the bike had gone.
Police said the bike, which has gold-coloured hubs and spokes and a Stella Artois sticker on the front, was probably stolen sometime between 2.30am and 3am on Sunday.
