CAMPAIGNERS fighting for bus services in isolated rural parts of North Yorkshire and in county market towns will have to wait until later this month to hear the network’s future.
The county council’s executive was due to discuss a raft of proposed subsidy cuts at a meeting tomorrow, but has had to postpone the discussion because of technical problems on its website over Christmas.
The glitch meant councillors and residents struggled to get hold of important reports and papers ahead of Tuesday’s meeting.
The council has confirmed decisions on both reductions in the bus service subsidy and increased charges for post-16 home to school transport will be made later in January.
