ORGANISERS of the 2014 Malton Food Lovers Festival have extended the deadline for stallholder and street food applications to January 31.
Application forms for the popular event, taking place on May 24 and 25, are available www.maltonyorkshire.co.uk or by writing to Malton Food Lovers Festival, 88 Old Maltongate, Malton, YO17 7EG.
Food Lovers Festival organiser Tom Naylor-Leyland said: “We have had an excellent response so far and, given we have all been busy with Christmas and New Year celebrations, an extension of the deadline is helpful to everyone concerned.
“We have some new foodie celebrities lined up so 2014’s Festival, including BBC’s The Incredible Spice Men and Channel 4’s Chiappa Sisters, who presented the popular ‘Simply Italian’ series.
“This year’s festival president is food writer Elaine Lemm, and we look forward to two days of wonderful food-related events at Malton’s biggest annual party.”
The Malton Food Lovers Festival was first held in 2009 and has expanded ever since. This year’s festival will have some 160 stalls selling top quality produce and is expected to attract more than 22,000 visitors to the market town.
