A DISABLED woman’s mobile phone has been snatched out of her hand by a cyclist.
North Yorkshire Police said the 67-year-old local woman was getting out of her car outside Sainsbury’s on Abbey Walk, Selby, at about 8.20am on Monday when the man cycled towards her.
“Thinking that the man was going to hit her vehicle, she put her hand up to stop him and he grabbed her Blackberry which she was holding, and cycled off,” said a force spokesman.
Anyone who witnessed the theft or has any information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
