THE Sea Life Centre at Scarborough has welcomed four new sharp-toothed arrivals.
Marine experts stayed up through the night to monitor the four juvenile black tip reef sharks and make sure they settled in to their large ocean display tank.
The four – two males and two females all two-years-old – have made themselves very much at home.
Displays supervisor Lyndsey Crawford, said: “They are exploring every inch of the tank and getting to know sea turtle Antiopi, our two resident leopard sharks and our banded cat shark."
The newcomers replace four larger blacktips which reached sexual maturity and as a result were moved to Blackpool were they are going to be part of a pioneering breeding programme.
