TOUR de France fever is spreading across Yorkshire, with even communities miles from the race route getting into the spirit of the event.
Stillington lies 10 miles from the nearest Tour de France point in York, but the villagers did not let that stand in their way and planned a weekend of celebrations to mark the event.
A French supper evening, a village cycle ride and a community afternoon tea all made up Stillington's celebrations, and Grand Depart themed scarecrows sprung up around the streets to form a trail around the village.
A welly wearing Bradley Wiggins riding a penny farthing, a traditional French onion seller, and the Eurostar train delivering Tour riders and bikes to Britain all appear around the trail.
Coordinator Christine Cookman said: "With Yorkshire doing the 100 events in the run up to the Tour, we thought it would be nice for Stillington to do something as well and have some fun."
The village trail also included each of the Tour's team shirts on display around the village, and prizes for people who completed the trail were donated by a Northallerton cycle shop.
