A MAN arrested as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Claudia Lawrence has been re-bailed by police.
The 46-year-old was arrested in July on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, and The Acomb pub in Kingsway West was searched the same day.
Detectives and forensic experts searched the pub and dug up part of the concrete cellar floor, and also removed several items from the pub for further tests.
The arrested man was released on bail until early September, when he was re-bailed by officers until this week, when he was re-bailed again pending further investigation.
In May, police arrested a 59-year-old man on suspicion of Claudia’s murder, and searched a house in Burnholme in connection with the investigation. Now aged 60, he also remains on bail.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said there was still "the possibility that further arrests will be made" in the investigation.
