FARMERS paraded their prized possessions during an annual show of the county's best livestock.
Murton's Christmas fatstock show, at York Auction Centre, saw another bumper turn out as country folk pursued the selection of cattle on display.
This year's supreme champion award was handed out to Bramble, a heifer.
The annual show was attended by The Lord Mayor of York, Cllr Ian Gillies, who hosted his Christmas Cheer Fund Reception buffet in the market hall, and also saw the 4th annual Pork Pie tasting awards take place.
James Stephenson, organiser, said: "It went very well.
"We had a wonderful show of cattle and even better attendance of both the farming community and city community."
