FIRE fighters tackled two car fires at the entrance of an Accident and Emergency unit.
Crews from Scarborough were called to the car park opposite Scarborough Hospital when an Audi burst into flames.
Patients and staff spotted the blaze erupting from the car's engine at 5am on Sunday and emergency crews were called to Woodlands Drive building.
The flame spread to a Mitsubishi parked nearby and the car was also damaged.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said they believed the fire was sparked by an electrical fault and the crews used two hose reels and foam to extinguish the flames.
