A HEARTBROKEN daughter has appealed for her mum to get in touch as a police search for the missing 47-year-old enters its third day.

Jade Dickinson, 25, believes her mum, Linda King, went into the River Derwent on Saturday afternoon after going missing in Stamford Bridge.

Miss Dickinson said: "The last time I saw her was on Mother's Day and she was happy and excited for the future.  She wanted to see my boy grow up because he's only five-months-old.

"She is a very strong woman and has handled a lot in her life.  She would normally phone me if she was going to do something, but this time there was no phone call.

"We hope she has got out and lost her way.

"I keep thinking she is going to walk through the door."

A team of divers and kayakers have searched near the bridge over the River Derwent at Stamford Bridge since Monday.

York Press:

Humberside Police said they received a call on Sunday afternoon reporting the 47-year-old from Hull was missing and their investigations led them to believe a woman had gone into the water.

Miss Dickinson, a mum-of-two from York, added: "She is a lovely, happy person, she's bubbly and would light up the room.

"She could get everyone in a room dancing even when there was no music, she was the glue holding the family together.

"Mum was always there for me.  I could have phoned her up at 3am and she would have done anything to help me out."

Humberside Police say the circumstances are not thought to be suspicious.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to phone 101 and quote log 331 of 2/4/2017.
