NEW business venturers in Malton will have another chance at getting expert advice this week.
A drop-in session has been organised at Barclays Bank, in Malton, by Business Link York and North Yorkshire this Friday, following a similar exercise on January 11.
The sessions, from 9.30am to 12.30pm, kick off a series of adviser drop-ins planned for the town in 2008 designed to give budding entrepreneurs the opportunity to speak to an experienced business adviser on all the issues surrounding starting up a venture.
Clare Williams, Business Link York and North Yorkshire's adviser team leader specialising in rookie ventures, said: "People starting up in business often get to a stage where they have the big idea' in place and they've started doing some initial research but they need some additional guidance on specific issues. These drop-in sessions are a useful extension to the Business Link services already available locally and provide people with the opportunity to pop in and see an adviser at their convenience to take their business ideas to the next level.
"Just turn up on the day and wait to see the adviser - no appointment is necessary."
The sessions are part of a comprehensive start-up programme from Business Link that includes telephone based and face-to-face support, online services such as StartQuest and providing detailed guidance that is emailed out over six weeks.
The latest addition to Business Link's website is a 25 minute-long "vodcast" that delivers bite-sized chunks of information covering issues often faced by people in the early stages of setting up a business.
Further fortnightly drop-in sessions have been arranged to take place in Malton on February 8 and 22, and March 7.
