MOTORISTS are facing overnight disruption on the A64 Malton bypass as engineers carry out re-surfacing work.
The Highways Agency said the £250,000 project to provide a quieter, safer surface will start on Monday and will be completed by Thursday June 17.
The work will take place from 8pm to 6am, on week nights only, when traffic flows are lighter.
A spokesman said: “The project will involve overnight closures of the east and westbound carriageways between the A169 Pickering interchange and Musley Bank, with only one carriageway closed at a time.
“During the closures, clearly-signed diversions will be in place via the B1257 and B1248 through Old Malton and Malton.
“The carriageway that is not closed will continue to operate as normal.”
