A TRAFFIC accident on the A19 brought fears of an explosion after a number of gas canisters were crushed in the smash.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said the incident involved a coach and a car which was towing a caravan on Saturday afternoon at the A19 Easingwold roundabout.
An inspector from Easingwold was able to make the canisters safe and nobody was hurt or injured in the incident.
