A MAN will appear in court this morning charged with the murder of a North Yorkshire woman.
Police were called to a house in Southwold Rise, Eastfield, Scarborough, at 11.30am on Sunday following reports that a woman was unconscious.
The 29-year-old woman was taken to Scarborough District Hospital via ambulance in a critical condition.
She was pronounced dead just before 5pm yesterday.
A 45-year-man was arrested in connection with the incident and later charged with murder.
He is due to appear before Scarborough Magistrates this morning.
Police are not yet in a position to name the woman.
