ALL creatures great and small provided the attractions at the 112th Bishop Wilton Show and Craft Fair.

Visitors marvelled at a birds of prey display, cheered on the horses in showjumping competitions and snatched a bargain at the craft stands.

Thousands turned up at the event, which included the popular Yorkshire Wolds half marathon. There was also a two-mile fun run for the less energetic.

This year’s biggest attraction, and a first for the show, was the Ridgeside Falconry, who brought 15 birds of prey including hawks, eagles, vultures, falcons and owls and entertained crowds with two 30-minute flying displays.

Other attractions included terrier racing and the Middleton Hound parade, which was this year joined by the Hunsley Beagles. There were also pet and dog agility classes.

Youngsters were kept entertained by Uncle Mal’s magic show, and there were also face-painting, fun rides and children’s sports.

The Driffield Silver Band, Morris dancers and a beer tent with up to ten real ales kept the adults happy.

Bargains were up for grabs at the show’s trade stands and craft stands and there were the annual judged classes, including horticulture, produce and photographs.
