A SCARBOROUGH man has been arrested in connection with a suspected murder after man’s body was found yesterday.
The body of a 48-year-old man was discovered in a ground floor flat at Eastborough, Scarborough at 7.25pm yesterday.
The victim had been subjected to a violent attack in which he sustained extensive head injuries, police said.
A 51-year-old local man was arrested this morning, and is being questioned in custody.
Police have said they are not yet in a position to formally identify the victim.
Forensic investigators are continuing to conduct enquiries at the flat and in the surrounding area.
House-to-house enquires and searches are also taking place as the full circumstances surrounding the suspected murder are established.
