A CHARITY which supported about 1,000 young people in North Yorkshire last year has been given the Royal seal of approval.
Keyfund is one of 26 causes across the UK personally chosen by Prince William and Middleton for a wedding gift fund, which sees the couple asking anybody who might want to give them a present to consider a charitable donation instead.
The charity was set up 19 years ago to provide young people with the skills, confidence and self-awareness needed to achieve their potential.
Grants of between £250 and £2,000 are run through North Yorkshire County Council’s 4Youth service and offered for initiatives ranging from art projects to outdoor education schemes.
