THREE children were taken to hospital after a bouncy castle broke free from its tether.
North Yorkshire Police said officers were called to the White House Hotel on the West Cliff in Whitby at 2.40pm on Sunday.
The most seriously injured youngster was a seven-year-old boy who was airlifted to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough, with broken bones.
A force spokesman said his condition was not believed to be life threatening.
He said a seven-year-old girl thought to have suffered concussion and a nine-year-old boy, who broke a bone in his leg, were taken by ambulance to Scarborough District Hospital.
The Environmental Health Department at Scarborough District Council are to investigate the incident.
