ONE of the best-known landmarks in Yorkshire will provide the backdrop to a day of fundraising for Marie Curie cancer nurses.
Walk Ten takes place at Castle Howard on Sunday, July 31, when participants can enjoy a 10k walk and an evening of entertainment, fireworks and picnicking in the grounds of the stately home near Malton.
Each night, at 10pm, Marie Curie Nurses across the country arrive at the homes of terminally ill patients to provide professional care through the night and give much needed support to carers and families.
The walk starts at 6.30pm and as people complete the Walk Ten course by 10pm, they will gather to remember and celebrate this important time. Go to mariecurie.org.uk/walkten or phone 08700 340 040 for more information.
