POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault which left a young Scarborough man with a broken jaw.
The 18-year-old was punched in the face by an unknown man on Queen’s Terrace at around 2am on Saturday, June 11 after attending a party in the area.
He was taken to York Hospital where he received treatment for a broken jaw. The suspect is described as white, aged around 22, 5ft 10in of medium build with short dark hair.
Investigating officer, PC Paul Rogers, said: “This was a nasty assault causing a very serious injury to the victim and I am appealing for anyone, whether they witnessed the incident, or has any information about who could be responsible, to come forward.”
