The motorcyclist was travelling westbound on a black Yamaha motorcycle at 1.20pm on Saturday, June 11, and a black Kia Sorento was travelling northbound when the two vehicles collided at the junction of Scarborough Road and Centurion Way.
The Pickering man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Castle Hill Hospital in Hull. He died there on Tuesday.

Police are keen to speak to the driver of a blue Peugeot, travelling towards Crossgates. The driver stopped at the scene of the crash and may have witnessed the incident.
Officers would also like to trace a couple who were out walking their dog. They stopped at the scene of the collision and the woman helped to administer first aid to the motorcyclist.
