TWO people have been charged after a “violent incident” in a North Yorkshire town which left a man in hospital.
The 61-year-old victim was injured at a house in Hope Street, Filey, at about 2.30am on Sunday and was taken to Scarborough District Hospital, where he is a stable condition.
A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old male, both from Filey, have been charged with wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a knife in a public place and assisting an offender. The 19-year-old has also been charged with assisting an offender. They were due to appear before magistrates in Scarborough yesterday.
