STEAM power ruled supreme as Duncombe Park at Helmsley hosted the annual rally of the Great Yorkshire Traction Engine Club.
Hundreds of steam engines of all kinds made their way along North Yorkshire’s roads to be part of the event.
Apart from the traditional tractor type which formed the biggest category, there were also several steam organs and steam-powered models.
In addition to 50 full-size steamers, there were at least 30 miniature steamers, 200 tractors and stationary engines, 200 vintage cars and motorcycles and 100 commercial engines.
