A MOTORCYCLIST has died after colliding with a deer in North Yorkshire.
A Cleveland man in his sixties died following the collision the B1257 between Chop Gate and Helmsley.
The animal also died at the scene.
The road was closed for over three hours following the collision at 11.30am to allow collision investigators to examine the scene, a police spokesman said.
Witnesses to either the collision or anyone who saw a white motorcycle travelling along the B1257 this morning, from Stokesley towards Helmsley, are asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 0845 60 60 247, quoting reference 200 of 4 July.
