A 32-YEAR-OLD man is in a critical condition after a crash near a North Yorkshire seaside resort.
The man, from Bridlington, was driving a Peugeot Partner van which crashed into a fence at the Thornwick camp site at Flamborough.
The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was on the access road to the holiday camp when the collision occurred at about 12.40am yesterday. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
The driver was cut free by the fire service and was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary by an RAF Sea King rescue helicopter.
Police said the man suffered severe cuts to his neck and was in a critical condition.
